Frequently Asked Questions

What types of pages work best?

This tool works best with pages that have standard HTML tables, like Wikipedia articles, government data portals, sports statistics sites, and financial reports. It may not work for tables that are generated by JavaScript or built with non-standard HTML.

Why can't I see some tables?

Some websites use JavaScript frameworks that build tables dynamically after the page loads. Since we fetch the raw HTML, these tables won't be visible. Additionally, very small tables (1 row or single-column) are filtered out to avoid extracting layout elements.

Is there a limit to how much data I can extract?

There's no hard limit on table size. We show a preview of the first 50 rows, but when you download the CSV or JSON, you get the complete table data.

Can I use this for scraping data regularly?

This tool is designed for one-time extractions. For automated, scheduled scraping with exports to spreadsheets or databases, check out the Lection Chrome extension which offers recurring scrapes and integrations with Notion, Airtable, and more.
